Para el uso inteligente de los neumáticos.

  1. Calibrar la presión de inflado de sus neumáticos semanalmente de acuerdo a lo especificado en el manual de usuario del fabricante del vehículo
    y no lo indicado por el concesionario o vendedor.

  2. Rotación de neumáticos, para los vehículos con neumáticos radiales debe rotarlos cada 10.000 Km.,
    y los vehículos con neumáticos convencionales cada 5.000 Km., utilizando en ambos casos el manual de propietario.

  3. Evitar la sobrecarga del vehículo, el exceso de peso compromete la estructura del neumático, produciendo degradación
    de sus componentes lo cual trae como consecuencia posibles fallas en los neumáticos.

  4. Realizar el mantenimiento preventivo a todo el vehículo, amortiguadores, rodamientos, frenos, etc., los cuales actúan directamente sobre los neumáticos.

  5. Utilizar las medidas de neumáticos y rines indicado por el fabricante del vehículo,
    las partes del vehículo fueron diseñadas para acoplarse equilibradamente, si se usan rines y neumáticos
    de medidas incorrectas se altera este equilibrio.

  6. Alinear y balancear sus neumáticos siempre que sufra fuertes impactos, cuando se realice la rotación,
    cuando presente desgastes irregulares o cuando sean sustituidos componentes de la suspensión, cuando hale hacia un lado y/o cada 10.000 Km.

  7. Utilizar un neumático para cada tipo de servicio. Rodar en ciudad con un neumático para uso fuera
    de carretera provocará pérdida en consumo de combustible, inestabilidad, ruido y afectará la durabilidad de las piezas del vehículo.

  8. Verificar el indicador de desgaste de rodado (TWI), este indicador existente en todo neumático
    muestra el momento preciso en que se debe realizar el cambio de este, reduciendo el riesgo de rodar con neumáticos gastados (lisos).

  9. Evitar el contacto del neumático con derivados de petróleo o solventes, estos productos atacan
    directamente la goma haciendo que pierda sus propiedades físico-químicas y mecánicas.

  10. Evitar el manejo agresivo, con frenadas fuertes y cambios bruscos de dirección. Nunca ignore la existencia de brocales,
    huecos e imperfecciones en la vía.
